So here I've been here about 2 1/2 months now. All is going well, some things have gone a bit crazy in our office here this week. My boss' assistant, Brian's last day was yesterday, he's going off to Columbia College (in Chicago) next week. My fellow intern was let go by the church and was supposed to fly out next week but was actually sent by bus today instead. So a little hectic here. But my job is going great, I'm getting a raise because the church staff feels like I'm doing an excellent job. My boss and I are getting along great, we're actually really good friends and I can talk to her about a lot of things, so that's nice. She's only like 3 years older than me. But yeah everything going well, for the one or two people that I think still read this. Sorry about the lack of updates, there isn't a whole lot going on and I'm really busy!

Peace out.

Well, let's see.... 3 1/2 weeks I've been in Wisconsin now. I moved for the third (and final time hopefully). I now live with a family that has two kids....Kayla, 11 (almost 12) and Ian 6 (almost 7). So far, they're really attachted to me. They helped me carrying stuff in and helped me unpack everything just about. It was really cute. We hung out and played some cards the rest of the night, so that was fun. Kayla has already figured out we wear the same shoe size and both share an interest in reading. I think it will be fun to live with them. They seem like a really nice family and I'm sure we'll get along great. I think I have a slight Wisconsin accent already. I notice myself saying things somewhat different, it's a little weird and hard to explain. Patriotic production is over, and our department is slowing down a bit. My boss, Jennifer, will be leaving to go on a mission trip to China next week, so we'll be on our own for awhile to do a really long list of stuff. Right when she gets back starts the Fine Arts Festival, a program sort of like a VBS for the kids here, they get to participate in different fine arts all week and then they'll be a program on Friday night. We get to take the video camera and film all the different classes every morning. I think that will be a different pace and get us thrown into filming different activities at church. Not sure what I'm doing for the 4th yet, I can't believe it's already here.

So two weeks here in Green Bay now. It's a pretty exciting life I guess you can say. I go to work, come home and do more work, and maybe hang out with people on the weekends when I have free time. However this week will be like a 60+ hour week for us. This church does this huge patriotic service to honor veterans and celebrate America basically. Seriously, this thing is bigger than Christmas or Easter for them. It happens this weekend, but Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are rehersals. Which means that I go to work at 8:30am and might leave by 9pm if we're lucky. Basically I get to push play for all the videos. But apparently that's a tough job. Anyway, long week. Everything is going good though, still living with my boss. But I'll probably be moving in with this family in the next week or so. They have two kids, Kayla, 11, and Ian, 6. They seem really nice, and the house is gorgeous and really nice. They also have a small dog, Lucy. Anyway I think it will be a better situation even though I've gotten used to living with my boss. But I think that the time I will get to spend with her outside of work now will be even better because I won't be living with her. Anyway, leave me some comments, a girl can get lonely up here. Peace out.

Ok, so I realized that my life depends on machines that need to be plugged in to work. Just for work I have to worry about my MacBook, my phone, my external hard drive, headphones, microphones, printers, etc. Seriously, I just have too much stuff. I guess that's what you get when you're a multimedia intern and move everything pretty much between home and work every day. After carrying my bag to my office (it's a little bit away from the car, because it's a huge church) my back about breaks every day. Sometimes you add a camera on top of that and man I might have strong shoulders by the end of this year. Oh well I guess. Anyway, time to go to bed, stayed up late to start on my video project that's due on Friday, it might be a long night/day tomorrow working on that. Anyway, wish me luck.

And yes Gin, I think I'm starting to depend on my MacBook, I barely turn my PC on these days.....and I said I'd never be a Mac user.

Green Bay- The Adventures of the first week of my internship at Bayside Church

Hello everyone- greetings from up north. I have almost been here a week now and it is amazing. First off, the internship I have a feeling will be a challenge and a blessing at the same time. I started off staying with these two sisters that both work at the church, but it ended up being a bad situation, just the condition they lived in. So my boss ended up coming and picking me up tonight and bringing me to her house. We get along great, so I hope this works out better even if it is temporary.

So far at work I've been getting acquainted with my new MacBook and learning how to close caption and working through a book on Final Cut Pro. We've had a few other things, but that's the main thing right now.

For the next year, the best e-mail address will be erogers@insidebayside.com. So please shoot me an e-mail or give me a call, I'd love to hear from you.
